In June of 2001 Peter graduated from the New Mexico Academy of Healing Arts’ 1000-hour massage therapy program where he studied deep tissue massage, Swedish massage, sports massage, medical massage, pregnancy massage, Shiatsu, Trager massage, Esalen massage, Lomi Lomi massage, Ortho-Bionomy, Reflexology, spa treatments, and aromatherapy. Since graduating he has deepened his abilities and understandings of all these modalities as well as Tui Na massage, Hot Stone Massage, and Watsu through formal continuing education courses and personal reading, study, and experimentation. He is also a certified Thai massage therapist.
Over two decades of combined qigong, tai chi chaun, and Ashtanga yoga practice serve as the energetic foundation of Peter’s work. His client list includes Nike, Oregon Ballet Theater, 24 Hour Fitness, Whole Foods, Sunrise Springs Inn and Retreat Center, Quail Run Golf Community and Spa, Santa Fe Massage, Eldorado Hotel, and Hotel Santa Fe. He provides massage for professional dancers, triathletes, runners, swimmers, race car drivers, cyclists, soccer players, weight lifters, and martial artists.
When not giving massage he enjoys skiing, basketball, writing, documentary film-making, and photography. Explore his recent films and book. Originally from Chicago, Peter holds a B.A. in philosophy from Kenyon College, an M.A. Counseling Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute, and is completing his Ph.D. in Depth Psychology.
